OUR REAL ALES

We believe that what really makes a great pub is great ale. At The Beehive we take time to select the very best ales, from local brewers as well as many small independant breweries from across the UK who have a passion for producing the very best ale.

In turn we look after all our ales with the greatest of care ensuring the taste and temperature is optimum for your enjoyment.

We also stock a range of quality lagers and ciders along with foreign bottled beers. Our selection of Scotch whiskies, speciality gins, rums and wine is extensive.

Please ask one of our very knowledgeable  members of staff if you would like any help choosing your drink.

THIS MONTH'S GUEST ALES

Thornbridge Cocoa Wonderland

Brewery: Thornbridge - Derbyshire - 5%

Many chocolate porters get their flavour from dark malts but Thornbridge goes a step farther, adding cacao nibs during maturation. And boy does it shine through in this decadent, creamy porter.

Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter

Brewery: Harvey's - Sussex - 4.2%

A silver medallist in the 2019 world beer awards (UK region), Best Bitter is Harvey’s flagship ale. Its beers are unique largely due to Harvey's having its own water source. Rainfall filtered over 30 years through the chalk downs in Sussex is drawn from the brewery’s own well, 60 feet below ground.

Ludlow Gold

Brewery: Ludlow Brewing Co. - Ludlow, Shropshire - 4.1%

Described as an early summer’s day in a glass. Straw coloured, full of fresh, local hop flavour and a soft malt bill that makes it eminently quaff-able Ludlow Gold is a real summer favourite here at The Beehive.

Celt

Brewery: Greenwich Park  - London - 25%

A robust well aged pint with hints of lemon zest, bicycle and fence post. The finish is reminiscent of red squirrel with an underlying sense of unease.
